Asian 50mm Blue Profile Tubing is heavily saturated transparent cobalt blue borosilicate tubing with a profile scallop surface. The profile shape forms a repeating ribbed contour along the outside of the tube, giving you built-in texture and a distinctive visual rhythm before you ever add any surface work. Made in China, this tubing comes in approximately three-foot lengths and is sold by the piece. The strong transparent cobalt blue reads rich and clean in thick sections, making it a go-to color when you want depth, clarity, and high visual impact in large hollow work.
This size and profile is intended for big hollow builds where the tubing itself becomes part of the design. In lampworking, 50mm profile tubing is commonly used for large vessels, oversized components, and sculptural sections where you want a textured exterior that catches highlights and breaks up reflections. The saturated cobalt blue is excellent for bold color statements, high-contrast layering over clear, and pairing with whites, ambers, and other transparent colors for clean transitions.
