Description:
Black silicon carbide 600 is a very fine blasting abrasive used for smooth, controlled surface finishing on glass. It is made from extremely hard, sharp, angular silicon carbide particles graded to a 600 grit size. In lampworking and general glass shop use, this grit is chosen when you want a cleaner, more polished-looking frost with shorter blast times and less aggressive cutting than coarser media. It is especially useful for final finishing passes where you want the etched surface to look refined and even.
How it is used:
Load this media into a compatible sandblasting cabinet or pressure blasting system and use it to frost, texture, and finish glass surfaces with a fine, consistent etch. Black silicon carbide can be re-used many times over when it is kept clean and dry. When you order a quantity of one, you will receive one forty-five pound large flat rate box of black silicon carbide and packaging. This item ships only in a large flat rate box, so shipping cost will be adjusted manually when this item is purchased.
Special Note:
