Description:
Boro Batch Pineberry Frit is a borosilicate color glass frit in an extra-large particle size. It is made by melting compatible borosilicate color, then crushing and screening it into large pieces so you get bold, organic breaks and defined patterning on the surface of your work. Pineberry is a creamy translucent yellow that turns a bright pink under CFL reactive lights. Like other CFL colors, it works well in a neutral flame and is described as very easy to work. For the strongest color shift, Pineberry is recommended in thicker applications where you can build enough mass for the reaction to show clearly.
How it is used:
Use Pineberry XL frit when you want pronounced, chunky color placement and visible movement in the finished surface. Heat the area of your base glass until it is evenly tacky, then roll or press the hot glass into the frit. Return to the flame and melt the frit in gently, keeping the heat even so the larger particles seat cleanly without boiling. For thicker applications, apply frit, melt in, then repeat to build depth. This frit is especially useful for surface patterning, wraps, raked textures, and accent zones where you want the CFL shift to read clearly under reactive lighting.
