Description:
This is a modular kiln collar designed to stack onto a Caldera or Caldera-S kiln to expand the working height. The collar adds 6 3/4 inches of height and includes a side copper enameling door that measures 7 1/2 inches by 4 inches. This accessory is used when you want to convert a modular Caldera into a more versatile setup for copper enameling work, allowing you to fire small pieces such as pendants without purchasing a dedicated front-loading enameling kiln. The side door makes it easier to load and unload small enameling pieces while keeping the kiln body stable and properly aligned.
How it is used:
Stack the Caldera-E collar onto the modular Caldera or Caldera-S base to increase the kiln height, then use the side copper enameling door to place small enameling pieces into the heated chamber. This setup is ideal for copper enameling because you can access the work through the side opening for loading, checking, and removing pieces with appropriate tools while minimizing how often you disturb the main kiln top.
