Item Name:
Medium Locking Finger Claw
SKU:
CLAW15
Description:
The Medium Locking Finger Claw is a metal claw grabber tool with multiple claw tips and a locking set screw for holding work securely. The claw opens to approximately 2 inches, closes completely, and can be locked tight using the set screw. It is built with a metal handle and is used in lampworking and small hot glass work when you need a firm outside grip on a hot piece for shaping, handling, or transferring. This style of claw is especially useful for beads and small marbles because it can hold the outside surface without needing to grab a punty or mandrel.
How it is used:
- Open the claw and position the tips around the outside of the hot glass piece where you want to grip.
- Close the claw until the tips contact the glass securely.
- Tighten the set screw to lock the claw so your grip stays consistent while you work.
- Use the handle to stabilize, rotate, or gently reposition the piece while shaping or detailing.
- Loosen the set screw and release the claw once the glass is stable or ready to be moved to the kiln.
Dimensions:
- Opens to approximately 2"
- Approximately 12" Long
