Description:

Smooth Jazz Frit Blend is a premixed soft glass frit color blend designed to give you layered, variegated color without having to mix multiple frit colors by hand. It is supplied in a jar as loose frit that can be picked up, rolled onto hot glass, or sprinkled onto a prepared surface. This blend is described as a velvety mix of blue and lavender tones with subtle hints of green, making it well-suited for adding depth and movement to beads, small blown work, and fused accents. It is sold in a 2 oz jar.

How it is used:

• Warm the end of a rod, gather, or bead until the surface is hot enough to accept frit.
• Roll the hot glass in a frit tray or gently sprinkle frit onto the hot area to control placement.
• Melt the frit in smoothly, then encase with a compatible clear if you want added depth and a cleaner surface.
• Use in layers with other frits or stringer detail to build complex color transitions.
• For fusing, sift or place frit where desired on the base glass, then fire to your schedule for tack fuse or full fuse effects.
