Description:

ABR Bead Release is ABR’s new, non-toxic bead release formulated for sculptural work, borosilicate, and hollow forms. It is designed to create a dependable separator layer between your mandrel and hot glass, with a strong hold intended to help reduce flaking and spinning while the piece is being worked in the flame. This release can be dried either in air or by flame drying, depending on your workflow and production pace.

How it is used:

Stir the bead release to a smooth, even consistency, then dip clean mandrels to coat them with an even layer. Allow the coating to dry either by air drying or by gently flame drying before introducing glass. Once dry, build your bead, hollow, or sculptural form on the prepared mandrel. The goal is a stable coating that stays bonded to the mandrel during heating and shaping, while still allowing the finished piece to be removed after cooling.
