The same vibrant ruby color and buttery workability as the original TAG Elvis Red, but lighter! This lightly saturated transparent striking ruby red is an “easy strike” rod that self-strikes as it cools, but can get a bit darker with flame- or kiln-striking. Works best in a neutral or oxidizing flame. Light Elvis strikes in the kiln at slightly lower temperatures than most rubies. Flame strike in an oxidizing atmosphere.

Item’s Recommended Uses:

Since this is an aventurine color, the usual cautions against long, hot garaging apply. However, it is proving to be very stable in implosions.
