Bluebells Frit Blend is a mixed-color frit assortment designed to give soft, complex surface color with a single application. It is a curated blend of transparent and opaque pinks, greens, and dark turquoise. This blend is reactive with ivory and or silver, making it a strong choice when you want added visual effects and color interaction in your bead and small component work. It is packaged in a 2 oz jar for convenient storage and clean, repeatable use at the torch.
Bring the base glass to a tacky heat and roll it through a small pile of frit, or dip the hot surface directly into the jar using a clean frit spoon or tray method. Melt the frit in smoothly with a neutral flame to keep the colors clean and reduce scumming. For reactive effects, apply over ivory or introduce silver in your design, then melt in and strike as needed to develop the reaction. Use it for beads, pendants, small blown forms, and decorative surface accents where you want a blended palette with extra character.
