Double Helix Flora is a Double Helix 104 COE glass color sold as frit. Flora was formerly known as 2022 Test Batch HXO-866. It is described as an Eros gold pink color in a translucent opal base. The glass opacifies and strikes in the flame and in the kiln, yielding pink and purple tones.
How it is used:
This glass is used in 104 COE soft glass lampworking when you want a reactive color that develops its final look through striking. Use it as a color accent on beads and small sculptural work, or as surface decoration where you want pink and purple development. Work the glass in the flame to apply it and shape your piece, then allow the color to develop through controlled heating and cooling cycles. Kiln striking can be used when you want additional color development after the torch work is complete.
