This is a transparent amethyst Effetre Moretti soft-glass rod supplied in standard lampworking rod form. It is made for soft-glass flameworking and beadmaking, where you want a purple transparent that can be used for clean overlays, casing, and layered color work that still lets underlying detail show through. The rod format makes it easy to heat, gather, and apply in wraps, dots, and small builds, and it can also be pulled down into stringer for fine decorative linework.

How it is used:

Pull stringer for fine lines, scrollwork, and controlled transparent accents
Wrap and melt in for transparent bands, dots, and layered color builds
Use as a casing layer over opaque cores to add depth while keeping detail visible
