This is an Effetre Moretti special color rod known as Gold Pink, also called Rubino Oro. It is manufactured as a solid, round rod and pulled in mixed working diameters from 3–7 mm so it can be introduced directly into a lampworking flame. This color is used when you want a true gold-ruby pink tone in soft glass work, and it is typically worked with careful heat control because the final pink develops through controlled heating and cooling rather than staying fully colored at all times in the flame.
How it is used:
- Use for beadmaking and small sculptural work when you want a premium pink that develops through striking.
- Work in a smaller, cooler flame and avoid prolonged heavy heating to help maintain clarity and encourage the pink to develop evenly.
- Strike the color by heating until it is glowing, then letting it cool slightly, repeating as needed until the pink tone develops to your preference.
