Moretti Black Intense is an Effetre soft glass rod color known for producing a dense, saturated black in 104 COE work. It is manufactured as solid glass rod stock in the 4–5 mm diameter range, making it a comfortable size for most beadmaking and small flameworking applications. This is a staple “true black” style color used when you need strong contrast, crisp linework, and reliable coverage in encasing, stringer detail, or as a base for bold designs.
How it is used:
- Melt the rod directly in a neutral to slightly oxidizing flame to form gathers for beads, small sculptural parts, and components.
