Pixie Dust - Macro Pearl is a Pixie Dust pigment made from large opalescent Pixie flakes. The opalescent effect is used to highlight and accent focal areas on soft glass artwork. The flakes are applied to hot glass, then briefly annealed carefully to avoid burning the material off, and it is commonly protected afterward with a transparent coating. This item is sold in 28 gram increments.

How it is used:

• Heat your glass piece to a red-hot working temperature.
• Lightly immerse the hot area into the Pixie Dust or coat the surface with the flakes.
• Briefly anneal while avoiding overheating that can burn the material off.
• Apply a transparent protective coating over the finished surface.
