Description:

Pixie Dust - Pearl White is a pearl white opalescent pigment sold as Pixie Dust for soft glass work. It is used to add opalescent highlights and accents to focal areas of a bead or small sculptural piece by applying the powder to hot glass, then briefly annealing to set it. After the pigment is set, a transparent protective coating is generally recommended to help protect the surface effect. This product is available for sale in 28 gram increments.

How it is used:

• Heat your glass piece until it is red-hot.
• Lightly immerse the hot area into the Pixie Dust or coat the surface with the powder.
• Briefly anneal to set the powder while being careful not to burn the powder off.
• Apply a transparent protective coating over the effect.
