Asian 10mm Red-21 Tubing

Asian 10mm Red-21 Tubing is saturated red borosilicate color tubing made in China. This is color stock intended for flameworking work where you want the efficiency of tubing for hollow forms and clean, consistent wall thickness instead of building everything from solid rod. Red tubing like this is commonly chosen when you want bold, high-visibility color for sections of a piece that are meant to read from across the room, such as accents, bands, sleeves, and color-backed components that will be shaped, stretched, or blown.
In lampworking, tubing is used as a fast starting point for hollow work. Heat a section evenly while rotating to keep the tube round, then either close and blow for small vessels and bubbles, or collapse and seal it onto compatible clear or color tubing for sleeving and section work. For clean joins, bring both the tubing and the receiving part up to an even working temperature before making the seal, then keep the heat broad and controlled so the tube stays true while you shape.
