Asian 16mm Blue-Green Tubing is transparent blue-green colored glass tubing made in China and supplied in 4 foot lengths. It is sold by the piece and is intended for lampworking applications where you want a clean, transparent blue-green tone in a hollow form. Tubing like this is chosen when you need consistent round stock for heating, shaping, sealing, and blowing into components where color clarity and even transmission of light matter.
This tubing is worked in the torch by heating evenly while rotating to keep the tube true, then cutting and sealing sections for blown work, sleeving over compatible clear tubing, or building hollow assemblies for pendants, small vessels, and sculptural elements. It is also useful for color banding and transparent overlays in hollow builds where you want the blue-green hue to stay crisp and readable. Typical shop practice is to cut to length, fire-polish the ends, and make seals using standard tubing techniques depending on the project.
