Asian 16mm Jade Blue Tubing is opaque blue glass tubing made in China. The opaque formulation gives you solid coverage and a dense body color that stays visually strong as you flare, stretch, or condense the tube, which is especially useful when you want a consistent, non transparent blue in hollow forms. Supplied as straight tubing, it is a dependable starting stock for lampworkers and glassblowers who build hollow work from tube rather than rod.
This tubing is used for hollow lampworking and small blown work where an opaque blue body color is desired. It is typically introduced to the flame gradually, rotated for even heat, then worked to close ends, pull points, open and flare lips, or neck down sections for transitions and components. Because it starts as a consistent diameter and length, it is also well suited to repeatable production work where uniformity from piece to piece matters.
