Asian 19mm Blue-Green Tubing is transparent blue-green borosilicate color tubing made in China and supplied in 4 ft. lengths. As color tubing, it gives you a ready-made hollow form with consistent color through the wall, which is ideal when you want clean, even coverage without sleeving or building up color with heavy overlays. The blue-green tone is a strong studio workhorse color for pieces that need a cool, aquatic look while still reading clearly over clear borosilicate.
This tubing is commonly cut into shorter working lengths, the ends are fire-polished, and then it is worked as hollow stock for shaping and assembly. In lampworking, it is used to build colored hollow sections, add colored segments into a larger build, form sleeves and collars, and create blown or expanded areas where you want the blue-green color to stay uniform as the tube is opened up. It can also be paired with clear borosilicate for transitions, reinforcement, or to fine-tune how saturated the color appears in the finished work.
