Asian Color Fat Rod - Amber Yellow - 25mm

Item Name:

Asian 25mm Amber Fatboy Rod

SKU:

AR-AMBER25

Description:

This is a solid color borosilicate rod in a large fatboy diameter, made for gathering more glass at once and maintaining heat longer during big builds. The amber color is a transparent, honey-gold tone that reads warm in both thin and thick applications, making it a strong choice when you want luminous color without losing clarity.

How it is used:

Use this rod when you want to move material quickly on larger lampworking pieces, such as thick sculptural forms, larger beads, or components that need substantial gathers before shaping. In practice, you will typically preheat the rod, establish a stable gather, and then either apply it directly to a base piece for buildup or use it as your primary stock for forming larger elements where a standard diameter rod would be too slow and too temperature-sensitive.
