Asian Color Fat Rod - Cobalt Blue - 25mm

Item Name:

Asian 25mm Cobalt Blue Fatboy Rod

SKU:

AR-BLUE25

Description:

This is a solid borosilicate color rod in a fat 25mm diameter, made as thick rod stock for larger gathers and longer working time at the torch. Cobalt blue is a classic, highly saturated transparent blue that reads strong even in heavier wall and solid sections, making it a dependable choice when you want bold color without relying on surface application.

How it is used:

Use this fatboy rod when you need a larger reservoir of color for big beads, substantial sculptural forms, thick overlays, or production work where frequent reloading slows you down. In lampworking, you typically preheat the rod thoroughly, then bring a broad section to an even working heat so you can gather a consistent mass, apply it cleanly, and keep the color even as you shape with gravity, marvers, paddles, and jacks. It can also be pulled down into smaller rod or stringer for finer line work while keeping the same cobalt saturation.
