Asian 30mm Amber Profile Tubing is transparent amber borosilicate tubing formed with a profile shape that creates a scalloped exterior. This profile tubing is made in China and is supplied as straight lengths for flameworking fabrication. The scalloped profile is used when you want built-in surface definition that stays visible after heating, giving you a fast way to add texture, grip, and visual rhythm without having to hand-carve or heavily tool the surface. The transparent amber color is chosen for warm, honey-toned work that still transmits light and shows depth in thicker sections.
This tubing is commonly used as a starting stock for blowouts, hollow sections, and assembled components where you want the scalloped profile to remain as a design feature. In lampworking, you heat and rotate to keep the profile even, then blow and shape for bulbs, bodies, and transitions while managing heat carefully so the scallops do not collapse. It is also useful for adding decorative sections in larger builds, creating textured handles and grips, and building patterned segments that can be sleeved, joined, or accented with overlays and line work.
