Asian 32mm Amber Yellow Tubing is transparent dark amber yellow borosilicate color tubing made in China and supplied in straight 4 ft lengths. This is a color tubing intended for borosilicate lampworking where you want the strength and thermal performance of boro with a deep amber yellow tone that reads warm under studio lighting and stays rich after annealing. Large diameter color tubing like this is typically selected when you need enough mass and circumference to build larger hollow forms, sleeves, or sections that will be stretched, blown, or re-shaped without losing the overall color presence.
This tubing is used as a starting blank for hollow borosilicate work. Warm the tube gradually and evenly to avoid stressing the color, then establish a consistent heat base before you begin any blowing or shaping. It is commonly used for larger components such as bodies for vessels, larger hollow sections, and color sleeves where you want the color built into the wall rather than applied as surface decoration. For clean joins, bring both mating surfaces to an even working temperature, keep the tube rotating to maintain roundness, and use controlled heat to seal without thinning the color unevenly. After shaping, anneal on an appropriate borosilicate schedule to relieve stress and preserve clarity.
