Asian 32mm Green Tubing is heavily saturated transparent green borosilicate color tubing made in China and supplied in straight 4 ft lengths. This is a strong transparent green intended for borosilicate lampworking when you want a bold, clean color that still transmits light and shows depth in thicker wall sections. In larger diameters, saturated transparent colors are often chosen for hollow work because the diameter and wall mass help the color read rich and even across the finished form.
This tubing is used as a starting blank for hollow borosilicate fabrication. Start with a slow, even warm-up and keep the tube rotating so the heat base stays uniform and the tube remains round. Once the glass is evenly moving, you can blow and shape it into larger hollow sections, sleeves, and bodies for vessels or other components where you want a continuous green wall. For joining, bring both parts to matching working temperature, keep alignment true, and seal with controlled heat to avoid thin spots that can make the color look uneven at the weld. Anneal on an appropriate borosilicate schedule to reduce stress and maintain clarity.
