Asian 32mm Jade Green Tubing

Asian-made borosilicate color tubing in a jade green formulation, produced as a consistent, machine-drawn tube intended for flameworking work that benefits from a stable starting hollow form. This size is commonly chosen when you want substantial volume and visual presence in a piece while still keeping the efficiency of starting from tubing rather than building a hollow from solid. Jade green is typically used when you want an opaque-to-dense look that reads strongly under studio lighting, giving clean color blocking and high contrast against clear, white, and darker transparent colors.
This tubing is used as a starting blank for hollow lampworking. Common shop practice is to cut a section, fire-polish the ends, and then either seal one end to form a bubble or attach a handle or blow tube for controlled inflation. It is well-suited for forming larger hollow shapes such as vessels, jars, and sculptural bodies, and it can also be necked down and stretched for sections that need a strong color band. Because it is color tubing, many artists use it for overlays, sleeving over compatible clear, or for building components where the color needs to stay even through wall movement during blowing and shaping.
