Asian-made borosilicate color tubing in a neon green formulation, produced as a consistent, machine-drawn tube that gives you a uniform hollow starting point for flameworking. Color tubing is used when you want an even wall and continuous color coverage without having to build a hollow form from solid rod, which saves time and helps keep the finished wall thickness more consistent. Neon green is typically chosen for high-visibility work where you want a bright, attention-grabbing green that reads strongly under studio lighting and stands out in both simple forms and more complex assemblies.
This tubing is used as a hollow blank for lampworking. A common approach is to cut a section, fire-polish the ends, and then seal one end to form a bubble or attach a handle or blow tube so the tube can be evenly heated and inflated. The 32mm diameter is well-suited for larger hollow bodies such as vessels, jars, and sculptural components where you want substantial volume and a bold, uninterrupted color field. Neon green tubing is also useful for strong color bands, collars, and accent sections, and it can be stretched and necked down while maintaining an even color layer through the forming process.
