Asian 32mm Transparent Black Tubing is a lightly saturated transparent black borosilicate color tubing made in China. It is produced as hollow tubing with consistent wall and roundness intended for flameworking and scientific-style fabrication where you need a dark, smoke-tinted look without going fully opaque. This tubing comes in 4 ft. lengths and is sold by the piece.
This transparent black tubing is used when you want the depth and contrast of black while still keeping some transmitted light through the glass. In lampworking, it is commonly used for larger hollow builds such as sleeves, outer jackets, and sections that will be blown out, stretched, or joined into assemblies. It is also useful for overlays and encasement-style effects where you want to mute bright colors underneath, create a darker “shadowed” look, or add visual separation between layers while still retaining a sense of internal depth.
