Asian 38mm Jade Pink Tubing is a cloudy, milky borosilicate color tubing made in China. Jade Pink is formulated to hold its color best when it is worked in a soft flame, which helps preserve the milky body and keeps the tone from washing out during long heats. It is supplied as straight tubing in 4 ft lengths and sold by the piece, making it well suited for larger hollow work where you want an even, opaque-leaning pink look without having to build that coverage from rod.
How it is used:
Jade Pink tubing is used when you want a smooth, consistent pink body color across a larger hollow form.
- Sleeve it over clear tubing to create a uniform colored outer layer, then shape it into cups, bubblers, vessels, and other hollow forms while keeping the color even.
- Use a section as a color start for blowouts so the piece begins in jade pink rather than adding color later.
- Heat and pull it down into smaller diameter tubing for matching components, smaller hollows, and coordinated accents.
- Cut short rings for collars, maria work, and banding where a milky pink edge line stays solid and readable, especially when lightly encased in clear.
