Asian 44mm LIGHT Jade Green Tubing is a colored borosilicate glass tube produced in a consistent, uniform light jade green for lampworkers building larger hollow forms. This color is noted as being almost the exact same shade as the Asian Mint rod, which makes it a strong choice when you want to match accents, pull-downs, or assembled components across rod and tubing in the same palette. The tubing format is specifically valuable when you need a ready-made hollow starting point, saving time compared to building up a blank from rod and helping you keep wall thickness more even in larger work.
This tubing is supplied in long straight lengths so it can be cut down into working sections for production runs, large sleeves, or straight tube segments. In both artistic and functional-style fabrication, large diameter color tubing is commonly chosen for full-body color, bold bands, collars, and transitions where you want the color to stay even through multiple reheats and assembly steps.
Light Jade Green tubing is typically cut to a manageable working length, the ends are fire-polished, and then it is worked using standard borosilicate hollow techniques. You can close and blow it out for larger hollow bodies, pull it down to smaller diameters for custom transitions, or use it as a sleeve when you want a uniform colored outer layer. When matching to Asian Mint rod, many lampworkers will pull small points, stringers, or handle material from the rod so assembled parts keep the same color family while the main body is built from the tubing.
