Asian 44mm Opaque Pink Tubing

Asian-made borosilicate color tubing in an opaque pink formulation, produced as a consistent, machine-drawn tube that provides a uniform hollow starting point for flameworking. Color tubing is used when you want continuous color coverage and a predictable wall without having to build a hollow form from solid rod, which saves time and helps keep wall thickness even as you inflate and shape. Opaque pink is commonly chosen for work where you want a solid, non-transparent color field that reads clearly in finished pieces, making it useful for bold forms, graphic patterning, and high-contrast assemblies with clear or darker colors.
This tubing is used as a hollow blank for lampworking. A typical workflow is to cut a section, fire-polish the ends, and then either seal one end to form a bubble or attach a handle or blow tube so the tube can be evenly heated and inflated. The 44mm diameter is well-suited for larger hollow bodies such as vessels, jars, and sculptural components where you want substantial volume and a strong, uninterrupted color surface. Opaque pink tubing is also useful for collars, accent sections, and color bands, and it can be stretched and necked down to create transitions while keeping the color distribution even through the forming process.
