Asian 44mm Opaque Purple Tubing

Asian Opaque Purple tubing is a Chinese-made borosilicate color tube supplied in straight 4 ft lengths and sold by the piece. This is a large-diameter, opaque color that’s ideal when you want strong coverage and a clean, uniform look without relying on heavy surface encasement or dense fume. In the flame, opaque purple reads as a saturated, solid color that can be used as the primary body color for larger hollow work, or as a sleeve to build thick-walled sections that stay visually consistent after shaping, stretching, and welding.
This tubing is most commonly used as a starting blank for large hollow builds. You can cut a section, seal one end, and inflate to form bulbs and bodies, or sleeve it over clear to create a colored outer wall before shaping. It is also used for making consistent color sections for larger assemblies where you want the color to remain even through joins, bridges, and handle or foot attachments. Because it is 44mm diameter, it is especially useful when you need volume and wall mass for big forms, large transitions, and wide weld areas.
