Asian 50mm Purple Tubing is a lightly saturated transparent lavender purple borosilicate color tube made in China. It is factory-drawn tubing intended to give a consistent outside diameter and even wall presentation for large hollow work. It comes in 4 ft. lengths and is sold by the piece.
This is a large-diameter color tube used when you want a clean, transparent purple read without going fully opaque. In lampworking, it is commonly chosen for big hollow builds where color needs to stay luminous through thickness, such as large vessels, tubes, and sections that will be sleeved or joined into multi-part assemblies. The lighter saturation makes it especially useful for layering over clear, backing with white for a brighter pastel look, or combining with darker purples for fades and color transitions without the piece turning muddy.
