Bar stock is commonly used when you want a larger mass of color than a standard rod, making it useful for pulling your own rod and stringer, gathering for small solid work, or cutting chunks for encasement and color application. The cola color is a transparent brown tone that is often used for warm amber-brown accents, shading, and earthy transparent overlays in sculptural and functional lampworked work.

How it is used:

• Heat the end of the bar evenly and pull it down into custom rods for your preferred working diameter.
• Pull stringers from the bar for fine linework, detail, and striping.
• Gather a small molten blob from the bar to use as a color application point for sculptural builds.
• Cut the bar into smaller sections for easier bench handling, then flame-polish the cut end before use.
