How it is used:
Copper Electroforming Solution is used by setting up an electroforming tank with a copper anode and the workpiece connected as the cathode, then running current through the bath to deposit copper onto the surface. The solution is designed to run at room temperature. The listed operating guideline is 1/10 of an amp per square inch of surface area being electroplated. In lampworking and mixed-media glasswork, this type of solution is commonly used to electroform copper onto glass elements, bead cores, and sculptural components to create metal shells, add durability, or prepare a surface for additional finishing steps.
