Description:

The Black Fly McFlys Shade 5 Lens is a replacement protective lens made to fit Black Fly McFlys lampworking eyewear frames. It is constructed as a precision-cut filter lens intended to reduce glare and visible light intensity while you work at the torch. Shade 5 is commonly used in lampworking for soft glass and borosilicate work to improve comfort and visibility in the flame environment and to help reduce eye fatigue during extended bench sessions.

How it is used:

Remove the existing lens from your Black Fly McFlys frames and install the Shade 5 replacement lens in its place, ensuring it seats fully and evenly. Wear the glasses during lampworking operations such as heating, shaping, and detailing glass at the torch when you want shade-level glare reduction for a clearer view of the work and flame.
