This is a 16 oz bar of cosmetic grade pure beeswax. It is supplied as a solid bar that you can rub directly onto graphite, brass, and other hand tools to create a thin lubricating film. In lampworking and hot shop work, beeswax is used when you want a tool to glide smoothly against hot glass, helping reduce sticking and chatter marks while you shape, paddle, or manipulate the surface.
How it is used:
- Lightly rub the beeswax bar onto a clean, dry tool surface to leave a thin coat before bringing the tool to the glass.
- Reapply as needed during a session, especially after tools heat up or the wax film wears off.
- Use sparingly to avoid excess residue and smoke at the torch or bench.
