Eagle #1 Blasting Stencils are single-use vinyl sandblasting stencils designed to create crisp, repeatable etched designs on glass. Each stencil sheet measures 8.5 inches by 12 inches and uses a water based adhesive that releases cleanly by soaking in water, making removal simple after blasting. The stylized eagle symbol design includes several sharp-edged pattern elements, with individual images measuring about 1 inch tall by 1.25 inches wide. In lampworking and glass studio work, these stencils are used when you want consistent imagery on finished pieces such as pendants, paperweights, plaques, ornaments, and blown or fused panels. The stencil helps control the blast area so you can add professional-looking surface decoration without freehand masking.
Clean and dry the glass surface so the stencil can bond evenly. Apply the stencil to the area you want to etch and press it down firmly to seal the edges. Sandblast the exposed design area to the depth and texture you want, then remove the stencil by soaking the piece in water until the adhesive releases and the vinyl lifts away. Rinse and dry the piece before continuing with any additional finishing steps.
