Exclamation Point Blasting Stencils are single-use vinyl sandblasting stencils designed to create crisp, sharp-edged exclamation point patterns on glass. Each stencil sheet is made from vinyl with a water based adhesive backing that holds the stencil in place during blasting and releases cleanly when soaked in water. Each sheet measures 8.5 inches by 12 inches and includes an instructional sheet. The design includes larger exclamation point images at the top of the sheet that are about 0.75 inches to 1 inch in height and width, followed by proportionally sized medium, small, and very small images below. There is an approximate 5/8 inch margin at the top and bottom of the sheet. A three sheet minimum purchase is required, and you can mix three different designs to meet the minimum.
How it is used:
These stencils are used in sandblasting and surface decoration to mask areas of glass so the exposed sections can be etched with abrasive media. Apply the stencil to clean, dry glass and burnish it down firmly to prevent blast creep at the edges. Blast the exposed areas to the desired depth, then remove the stencil by soaking the piece in water until the adhesive releases. The range of sizes makes these stencils useful for everything from small accent marks on beads and ornaments to larger punctuation graphics on panels, cups, and decorative flat glass.
