The Kokopelli Blasting Stencils are single-use vinyl stencil sheets measuring 8.5 inches by 12 inches with approximately 5/8 inch margins on the top and bottom. The stencils feature a water-based adhesive that makes removal simple by soaking in water, allowing the stencil to fall away cleanly. Each sheet comes with an instructional guide for proper use. The Kokopelli design features sharp-edged patterns with larger images at the top of the sheet measuring approximately 0.75 to 1 inch in height and width, with proportionally sized medium, small, and very small images below. These stencils are used in sandblasting applications to create precise, repeating Kokopelli imagery on glass surfaces.
How it is used:
- Clean and dry the glass surface thoroughly before application to ensure proper adhesion of the vinyl stencil.
- Apply the stencil to the glass, pressing firmly to create a secure seal and prevent sandblast media from seeping underneath.
- Use the instructional sheet included with the stencils to guide proper positioning and application technique.
- Place the stenciled glass in the sandblasting cabinet and blast with appropriate media and pressure to etch the design into the glass surface.
- After blasting is complete, soak the stencil in water to dissolve the water-based adhesive and remove it from the glass.
- Rinse the glass thoroughly to remove any remaining adhesive residue and sandblast media.
