Description:
Leaves Blasting Stencils are single-use vinyl sandblasting stencils designed for applying a sharp-edged leaf pattern onto glass. Each stencil sheet uses a water based adhesive so it can be removed by soaking in water until the stencil releases. The stencils come with an instructional sheet, and there is a three sheet minimum purchase requirement. The leaf images on the stencil are sized for small decorative work and repeatable patterning on blown, fused, or lampworked glass surfaces.
How it is used:
- Clean and dry the glass surface so the stencil adhesive bonds evenly and resists blast lift.
- Apply the stencil to the glass and burnish it down firmly, especially along the edges of the leaf shapes.
- Mask any surrounding areas you do not want etched, then sandblast to the depth and texture you want.
- Soak the piece in water to loosen the adhesive, then peel away the stencil and rinse off any remaining residue.
- Use the included instructional sheet to help with placement, masking, and removal steps.
