This is a transparent aqua dark colored Effetre glass rod made for soft glass lampworking. It is manufactured as a solid rod and pulled to a working diameter that gives you a little more mass for gathers, wraps, and smooth coverage on beads and small sculptural work. Aqua dark is a deeper, richer blue-green that reads bolder than aqua light and is especially useful when you want stronger color saturation, cleaner contrast against opaques, or a more dramatic transparent layer in encasement-style designs.
How it is used:
- Heat the end of the rod in a neutral flame and apply it as a base color for beads and small components.
