The transparent light grass green tone is useful when you want a fresh, bright green that still allows light to pass through the glass for depth and layering. Rod form gives you control at the torch for building bead bases, adding transparent overlays, and pulling stringers for fine detail work where consistent color and predictable melt behavior matter.
How it is used:
- Pre-warm the rod in the far outer flame, then move into the working flame to begin melting smoothly.
- Wind onto a mandrel for transparent bead bases, then shape with a marver or paddle.
- Use as a transparent layer over opaques to add depth without fully obscuring the base color.
- Pull into stringer for vines, scrolls, striping, and other fine line decoration.
- Use small gathers for dots and accents when you want a brighter green highlight that stays transparent.
