Moretti Effetre Pastel Dark Violet is a soft glass color rod pulled as a solid cane for use at the torch. The color is an opaque to opal pastel violet that reads as a deep, muted purple in finished work. How it is used:
- Warm the rod gradually in the back of the flame to reduce thermal shock, then bring it to a working glow.
- Apply the molten glass to a prepared mandrel to build bead shape, or apply to hot glass to add opaque violet coverage.
