This type of set is used when you need consistent, repeatable grinding and smoothing for tasks like flattening punty marks, truing up the base of a vessel, cleaning up saw cuts, shaping edges, and stepping through grits to prepare a surface for pre-polish and final polish. An 8 inch format gives you a stable working area that is especially helpful for larger pieces or when you want better control over flatness.
How it is used:
- Mount the disc to your 8 inch lap plate according to your machine setup
- Run water to keep the disc and glass surface wet during grinding
