Tungsten Length Adjustment Procedure: You need to clamp the tungsten in a vise just tight enough to keep it from turning-pull and rotate the graphite back and forth slowly and gently (Don't pull/ rotate using the Wooden Handle). To make it shorter just push it straight against a piece of hardwood.

Construction
