Construction

This tool is a 5/8 inch diameter graphite rod with two distinct working ends: one end is rounded for smooth contact, and the other is ground to a 60 degree point for more precise, localized pushing. Graphite is ideal at the torch because it tolerates heat contact and releases cleanly from hot glass, helping you shape without sticking.

Use in Lampworking

Use the rounded end when you want to push, true, and smooth hot glass without leaving sharp tool marks, such as refining a curve, evening out a gather, or gently moving glass into alignment. Use the 60 degree pointed end when you need more control in a tight area, such as defining a crease line, starting a controlled indentation, or pushing glass into a corner or transition where a broader tool face would be too blunt.
