Description:
This fused quartz tubing is made from high-purity silica that is melted and drawn into a seamless tube with consistent wall thickness and high clarity. With a 53 mm inside diameter and a 57 mm outside diameter, it provides a large internal bore while maintaining a stout wall that holds shape well during fabrication and service. Fused quartz is used in scientific lampworking when the job demands extreme temperature capability, excellent thermal shock resistance, and low thermal expansion, especially in applications where repeated heating and cooling would stress-crack or distort other glass materials. This size is commonly selected for large process tubes, reactor and furnace components, protective sleeves, and high-heat experimental assemblies where both internal volume and dimensional stability matter.
