Description:
This graphite mold has six conical divots machined into the face. Each cavity is tapered to help you form consistent cone shapes with a smooth graphite contact surface that releases hot glass cleanly. The six sizes give you repeatability when making matching components and flexibility when you want the same form at different scales.
How it is used:
Use this mold in lampworking when you want to quickly establish a controlled conical form. Heat a gather or preform and gently press or settle it into the selected cavity to shape glass tops, pendants, or appendages for sculptural work. The graphite contact helps pull heat from the surface so the shape firms up faster before you return to the flame for final detailing.
