Description:
The 6" Combination Unit is a compact diamond grinding and polishing machine built for smooth, quiet, controlled finishing work. It is constructed with sealed ball bearings mounted in rubber for quiet and smooth operation, and it is mounted on a rustproof aluminum-topped Lam-I-Cushion base for stable, vibration-damped running. A stainless steel main shaft resists rust, and the unit uses powder coated aluminum castings with a hood and belt guard for safer operation during grinding and polishing.
How it is used:
This unit is used in coldworking to grind, shape, and polish glass after it has been cut or rough-shaped. The continuous variable speed control allows you to adjust from 800rpm to 1725rpm so you can slow down for careful edge work and controlled smoothing, or speed up for faster grinding and polishing passes. A quick change hood and polishing buff make it practical to move between grinding and polishing steps, and the adjustable cab and wheel rest help support the workpiece for steady, repeatable results.
