Description:
The Commercial Wet Belt Sander - 220V is a production-oriented wet sanding unit built around a 3 inch by 41-1/2 inch abrasive belt system for increased sanding surface and longer belt life. It is constructed with a 4 inch high back plate, a 1/3 horsepower motor, a belt guard, and a rustproof aluminum topped Lam-I-Cushion base. The unit includes built-in water delivery hardware with a water valve and spray nozzle for easy hookup, and it ships with the motor attached so it is ready to plug in and operate.
How it is used:
This wet belt sander is used for wet sanding and shaping work where controlled material removal and reduced airborne dust are important. In glassworking and coldworking workflows, a wet belt sander is commonly used to smooth and true edges, refine contours, and prep surfaces prior to finer grinding and polishing steps. The built-in water valve and spray nozzle allow continuous wet operation, and the water valve is designed to accept 1/4 inch OD plastic tubing for gravity water flow or 1/4 inch copper tubing for pressure systems.
